Indoor Air Quality

Whole-Home Air Purification in Woodstock, GA

Whole-home air purification treats the air where it already moves, at the air handler, instead of one room at a time. It is the option that makes sense for allergies, pets, or a house that just never smells fresh, and it runs whenever the system runs.

It is almost always fitted during another visit — a tune-up, a repair, or an install — because the labor is already on site and the equipment ties into ductwork that is already open.

What it does

  • Filters the whole airstream rather than one room's worth of it
  • Catches particulate far smaller than a one-inch throwaway filter does
  • Runs on the system's own blower, so there is no second appliance and no second noise
  • Handles pet dander and pollen load, which is the seasonal complaint here

Who it's for

  • Households with an allergy sufferer and a forced-air system
  • Houses with pets, especially with carpet
  • Anyone already replacing an air handler, when the cabinet can go in at the same time
  • Houses where the one-inch filter is visibly loaded within a month

What's included

  • Media or electronic air cleaner sized to the air handler's actual airflow
  • Cabinet fitted into the return with the transitions sealed
  • Static pressure measured before and after, because a filter that chokes the system is a downgrade
  • Filter or cell replacement schedule written down and left with you

Usually added during a tune-up or an install

Questions people ask before booking

  • Does it need maintenance?

Yes. A media cabinet takes a filter once or twice a year depending on load, and an electronic cell needs washing. We write the schedule down and we check it at every tune-up if you are a Comfort Club member.

  • Can this be added during another visit?

Usually, and that is the cheaper way to do it. Fitted during a tune-up or an equipment install, the labor is largely already being spent.

  • Will a better filter make my system work harder?

It can, and that is the honest catch. A high-efficiency filter in a duct system that was already restricted raises static pressure and shortens blower life. We measure static before and after, and if the number comes back wrong we tell you rather than leaving it.
