Furnace Installation

Complete replacement of a residential gas furnace in a single-system home, including the permit, a standard sheet-metal transition, a thermostat, and haul-away. Excludes duct modification, gas-line work, electrical upgrades, and multi-system homes.

1987
Ray Vandiver started this company out of a garage in 1987, with one truck and a phone that rang at the house. He picked Cherokee County because it was cheap and quiet, and then watched it turn into one of the fastest-growing counties in Georgia around him.
His son Erik grew up riding along on Saturdays, got his own tools at nineteen, and took the company over in 2011. Not much else changed. Dana runs operations. Ruben has been here since 2004. When you call, one of about twenty-two people answers, and when the truck shows up it is somebody who works here, not a subcontractor booked for the day.

InstallSetting a condenser on a new pad. A straight changeout is one crew and one day; if the plenum has to be rebuilt we tell you that before you sign, not on the afternoon it happens.
The shopTransitions folded on our own brake. The part that comes in a box fits the box it came in, and rarely fits the plenum that is already in your basement.
AtticsMost of the duct in this county runs through an attic, which is where a good bit of what is wrong with a system turns out to be.

Paying for it
A system replacement does not have to be paid for all at once.
It is a five-figure decision that usually arrives on the worst possible day, so there are two ways to spread it out. Both are lent by a third party rather than by us, which means the rate, the term and the approval are all theirs — we hand you the application and tell you exactly what it says.

The after-hours rotation is our own technicians rather than an answering service. This is one of them.
Tim runs the service board and takes the after-hours calls that come in past midnight. Nineteen years in the trade, eighteen of them here. He is the person who will tell you your system has four good years left instead of selling you one tonight.

If we are already at the house for one system, the second one is priced at half. Two air handlers is genuinely two visits' worth of work, but it is not two drives, and we would rather pass that on than pretend otherwise.

Heating and air is genuinely not the same job across all ten — the housing era, the heating fuel, which office issues the permit and what the drive actually costs us all change over a county line. Where we could not say something specific and true about a town, we left it off the list rather than pad it out.
